It was about a 4 mile, very hilly trail off the Newport Coast in a beautiful, secluded canyon. It was a great workout, but boy the hills just about kill my legs. I felt super weak about the whole way through…my ankle always is a little tweaked from trying to run/walk up and down the hills…I am sure it’s not good for me, but hey, I like the feeling of accomplishment. Haha it’s empowering to say the least. I convince myself that its not that bad, but then when I am actually in it I say to myself, “you do this everytime you know this is probably not the best work out for you right now.” But I just always push myself and I recover soon enough from muscle fatigue and all that. For now anyway… I’ll talk with the doctor Monday and see what his take is on that.
It was so cute, I went with my sisters and a friend and my little sister who is 13 rocked it! Almost ran the whole way through…she is on the gold all-star team in AYSO soccer, she makes me proud
Speaking of soccer, I think I am going to try to play spring soccer! I am soo excited, yet a little apprehensive since my body is not really physically fit for sports and such, but I just love it so I might as well play while I can. Hmm I might change my mind a million times before sign ups but for now I just love the thought of getting back out there with the girls I’ve played with for years. Yayy
Tomorrow my day will consist of sleeping in, homework, and possibly a run with my friend who is here from France.
Sunday’s are the best day to just prep for the week.
How are all you guys holding up with school and physical therapy or working out? I’m interested to know if some of you teens out there have a workout regime, or do anything specific to stay active and well.
Also quick note– It takes a bit of cash to keep this site running, and I’d like to keep it going as long as possible- it’d be fun to see where it takes us all! So I had this idea to put in a small donation box down on the bottom right column specifically for anyone who is feeling charitable and would like for me to keep this site up. Any extra proceeds will go to a CP fund of some sort most likely, I have yet to decide any details. I personally am not looking to profit from this, as I enjoy writing and talking to all you TCPers and parents! It has been a fun journey–almost half a year now! Thanks to everyone who stays interested, and Greg who keeps this site alive and running!
Go TCP!!
Talk to you all soon.
