Hi everybody! I just want to welcome you to my website, made especially for teenagers like you who are living with cerebral palsy. First, let me introduce myself! My name is Katy Fetters and I am seventeen years old. I am going into my junior year at Huntington Beach High School, in Orange County, California. I am very involved with academics at school, and AYSO soccer and exercising for fun! I have a mild form of cerebral palsy on the left side of my body, which mostly affects the way I walk on my left side. Luckily, I am still able to do most of the things that the kids around me do, it just takes a little more time and effort to keep up. I do have those days when I wonder how different my life would be without my CP. Would I be a soccer star? Would I have more confidence and be more outgoing? Is there someone like me out there? But over the years, I have just learned to do the best I could, in everything I do, no one can ask anymore than that, right?. I also realize how lucky I am to have such a mild form of cerebral palsy, I am a stronger person because of my physical disability, and I know that there is a place for me in our world.
My goal for this website is that others like you and me can come to this place and feel like this is where you belong, and that this can be a place you can come back to when you are facing the challenges that life with cerebral palsy brings upon us. PleaseĀ feel free to talk with me about any problems you may be facing as school is coming up soon! If you have any questions, or just want someone to talk to about your unique lifestyle, I am here! I know what it feels like to walk around the halls with a little unwanted attention, or maybe some curious looks. I don’t know anyone around me with cerebral palsy and I would love to be able to relate to someone just like me. Talk with me about your interests! How do you feel your cerebral palsy has affected your life? Do you have a great story to tell? Maybe there was a time when you overcame a physical challenge, or won an outstanding award at school!
I hope everyones having a fantastic summer, stay healthy and be happy

This is very strange. My name is also Katie, I’m eighteen, and I have very mild CP on my left side only. I can’t believe the coincidence.
How are you so OK with your CP? I’ve really been struggling with it, and i would love to talk to you sometime. My email is km_body@yahoo.com. I hope to hear from you

Hey. I think it’s really cool that you’re writing these blogs.
I’ve always looked for someone who…has CP like me, I guess you could say.I’m 15 and have mild CP that affects my left side as well.
Anyway, I’ve really been struggling w/my CP lately. And I was wondering if I could talk to you about it. My email is reader1012@yahoo.com.
I’d appreciate it. Thanks for listening!
-Kristin
What a wonderful gift to share with the world and you do it very well. As a parent of a little girl with mild cp, my greatest hope is that she will use her life as a stepping stone for others. Thank you for the insight. I look forward to keeping up with you.

Hi,
I am 19 and I have a mild case of cp which affects my legs and the way I walk (I walk with a limp). I know what it feels like to be teased by other people and asked endless quesions about my disability. I would like to talk to anyone about it as it seems to make dealing with my “nervous system disorder” easier. e-mail: charliemcmartin07@gmail.com
